Mississippi follows the guidelines laid under Mississippi Code Sections 43-19-101 and 43-19-103 to deterimine how much child support is owed.

- One child gets 14% of the adjusted gross income
- Two children get 20% of the adjusted gross income
- Three children get 22% of the adjusted gross income
- Four children get 24% of the adjusted gross income
- Five or more children get 26% of the adjusted gross income
